Join our Smithers expert, Marty Willem, for this special Lunch & Learn presentation where Marty, will answer any questions about, and facilitate a better understanding around, the IAOB's sponsorship program for automotive suppliers interested in achieving IATF 16949 certification.

What Are the Eligibility Requirements?

The International Automotive Oversight Bureau (IAOB) is offering a limited sponsorship program to become certified to IATF 16949. To be eligible, automotive suppliers must have 75 or fewer employees executing the automotive quality management system (QMS) and have gross revenue for the site of $30 million or less. In addition, they must be a member of Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) and have completed an AIAG Core Tools Assessment by key personnel.

What Does the Sponsorship Program Offer?

The IAOB sponsorship program offers financial assistance for the Stage 1 readiness review and the Stage 2 initial audit conducted by an IAOB-contracted Certification Body (CB), such as Smithers. The program also includes a recommendation to use and implement Core Tools Software.

Learn More About the Limitations of the Program

Not all companies will be eligible for the IAOB sponsorship program. The program is limited to eligible automotive suppliers in North America and applicants must not be currently certified to IATF 16949.
