Smithers announced that Bruce Lambillotte has been named the Vice President, Technical Consulting, further expanding support for clients’ difficult technical challenges. Christine Domer has been named the new general manager for the Smithers chemistry and physical testing laboratory in Akron, replacing Lambillotte.

Lambillotte has more than 40 years of experience in the rubber and tire industry, with over 20 years at Smithers. He will lead the technical consulting service offering focused on rubber and polymer product development challenges. Throughout his tenure at Smithers, Lambillotte has led analytical and physical properties testing services for North America. As senior technical consultant, he managed product and process-specific technical consulting activities involving polymer products. Prior to joining Smithers, Lambillotte led product development for Continental General Tire Inc.

Christine Domer joins Smithers after serving as Director of Tire Cord, Yarn and Fabric Sales at Hailide America, Inc. Domer has over 30 years of tire and chemical industry experience, including engineering and management roles at Bridgestone Americas, Inc. and Cooper Tire & Rubber Company. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Akron.
