UK Expertise in Packaging Distribution Testing
Sumeet supports clients across industries including medical devices, pharmaceuticals and transport packaging from Smithers' Distribution Testing Laboratory in Leatherhead, UK.
He has managed large-scale testing projects ranging from packaging performance assessments to the evaluation of structures used to carry loads. He works with clients to understand their distribution challenges and develop focused testing programmes to support packaging performance and problem solving.
Medical Device and Pharmaceutical Protocol Support
Sumeet supports the development of distribution testing protocols for medical device and pharmaceutical packaging. His experience includes reviewing existing data and developing robust, justified test schedules aligned with client quality requirements and regulatory submissions, including to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Pallet, Stillage, Crate and Tray Testing
Sumeet manages testing of pallets, stillages and returnable transport packaging, including stackable and nestable crates and trays. He uses recognised methods including ISO 13194, ISO 8611 and ISTA 7A to assess performance during distribution, handling and storage across wood, metal, plastic, paper and corrugated fibreboard systems.
Qualifications and Professional Accreditation
Sumeet holds doctoral and honours degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Surrey and has 26 years’ post-graduate experience as a materials scientist and engineer.
