Prior to his current role, Dave served as Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Planning for Smithers. He worked closely with the company’s marketing teams in North America, Europe, and Asia to support their marketing goals and external communications activities. Additionally, he led the strategic planning process for Smithers, collaborating with business leaders across five divisions to develop yearly and long-term business plans. Dave has held Vice President, General Manager, Operations Manager, and Project Manager roles since joining the Smithers team in 1990.
 
Prior to his time at Smithers, Dave worked in material development and tire engineering at Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in chemistry from Bowling Green State University.
 
Dave lives in Hinckley, Ohio with his wife, Heidi. Together they have seven children and three grandchildren. Dave enjoys spending time outside, especially on the golf course, on a hiking trail, or on the slopes. He has competed in multiple marathons and triathlons, including the Boston and New York City Marathons and one Ironman.
