Dr. Ki Chang Ahn

Dr. Ki Chang Ahn joined Smithers in 2020 as Research Director in the Environmental Fate and Metabolism Department. He has experience in managing, designing, and supporting environmental fate, plant, and livestock metabolism studies. He previously led plant and livestock metabolism studies in various roles as Senior Research Chemist, Principal Research Chemist, and Principal Scientist and as an Associate Director position in the CRO industry before joining Smithers.

Dr. Ahn has a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Chemistry, and MS and PhD degrees in Pesticide Chemistry (Chungbuk National University, South Korea). He completed postdoctoral training in the Department of Entomology at the University of California, Davis with a focus on agricultural chemistry and immunochemistry. He is a member of Sigma Xi, ACS, Korean Society of Pesticide Science, Korean Society of Environmental Agriculture, and Korean Society of Agricultural Chemistry and Biotechnology. He has published more than 50 scientific articles and presented more than 120 scientific topics at domestic and international conferences. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking with his wife and dog.
